Perreault est un auteur/Illustrateur connu pour « Le facteur de l’espace ». Cette bande dessinée colorée raconte les aventures du facteur Bob à une époque où le courrier est transporté à travers l’espace. Sur le plan stylistique, l’œuvre s’inscrit dans la tradition de la ligne claire. Les dessins sont épurés, mais regorgent néanmoins de détails à découvrir.

Perreault a parlé aux élèves français des classes 3 à 5 de son métier d’illustrateur, leur a montré comment une bande dessinée est créé et comment on développe des personnages amusants. Ensuite, les enfants se sont eux-mêmes mis à l’œuvre…

Comme toujours les enfants étaient bien préparés pour cette matinée.

The illustrator of the famous Gruffalo! The picture book about the clever little mouse who outwits the terrifying Gruffalo has been published in 115 languages and sold 18 million copies only in the english version! Axel Scheffler has since illustrated over 100 other children’s books, many of them based on stories from author Julia Donaldson.
On friday, February 6, 2026, the warm-hearted and friendly illustrator read three stories to children of the english section: “Welcome!”, the adventures of the penguin “Jonty Gentoo” and, to round things off, the rhyming “Gruffelo” once again. He also drew pictures, signed countless books and chatted with the children.
On friday evening it was announced at the Literaturhaus Frankfurt that a long-awaited third Gruffalo book will be published in the fall. In german on September 24th, “Die Grüffelo Oma” , in english “Gruffalo Granny” – will be published on September 10th.
And last not least: Axel Scheffler is a real european: Born and raised in Hamburg, he has lived in London since youth and his life partner is a french woman.
