“Winn-Dixie”- writer Kate di Camillo from America!

The american writer Kate die Camillo came from Minnesota to the Frankfurt book fair. And to us! She told about her childhood without a father and her way of becoming a writer. She was very authentic and there were lots of lovely questions from the kids of grade 4. Really nice lecture!

Paper-theater: Blue peaches/Duranjes azules

Barbara Steinitz and her beautiful paper-theater fascinated children of first, second and third english classes. She performed the story of Pedro and the blue peaches together with her mexican friend Alejandro in english and spanish.
Afterwards the children had a lot of questions about how paper-figures are done, how the integrated shadow-theater works, how to play a blunt singing saw. And why main character Pedro forgot all about blue peaches when he grew up. They wanted to craft their own paper-theater right away.
